Anyone Ever Tried This?

Has anyone ever tried to use a cocunut shell in the aquarium with java moss growin on it?

I think it'd be a pretty good idea, but wanted to knoe if its easy or not.

No idea never tried it, i imagine they would float to the surface, give it a go.

I'm sure it's ok to use, I've seen it in many aquariums, especially kribs. It wouldn't hurt to boil it though, to kill off any bacteria. I doubt they have tannins.

I've not used coconut shell, but a friend of mine locally has a lot of it in his tank and has never had any trouble with it. If I had the need, I would not think twice about using it.

sounds like a mad idea......gets me thinking bout more decoration for my tank
