Any advise about stocking a 20gal

Anyone out there have any good ideas for my brother's 20 gal tank. He likes aggressive communities but is willing to try something different. I went out looking to get some ideas today and we saw some killifish. They look really cool. Any of you guys know anything about them, what they eat, companions, water, decor? Or if you have a good idea for a non-aggressive community, tell me. Give me all your best ideas. Thanks alot.

For the most part a 20 gallon is no good for African cichlids. He can do shelldwellers but I'd only recommend it if he has previous successful fish keeping experience.

20 gallons is not big enough for any aggresive fish.
