Evenin, begging foe more info from the more experienced.

Ok flattery done i have some plants in my tank and in all honesty with my planting skills i expected them to be dead in a fortnight. Well their not :hyper: . Trouble is i can't help thinking they need a dose of something as a couple of the leaves have started to brown slightly.

Anyway some dubious quality shots for those in the know, acording to the LFS that they came from they are pretty solid easy growing plants (but i never wrote the names down).

The harlequins like laying eggs under the leaves of this one.

This is a cory favorite, if you cant find them then under here is a good place.

This is the one with a bit of brown, you can see it in the pic.

Compliment, assasinate, as is your whim......

The first is Hydrocotyle i think and the second is Cabomba.

Tank's looking excellent Jason. Filter ok?

Spot on, quiet as a mouse after a couple of burps to clear the air. Havent cleaned it yet, little point.

Nice room divider :good: The last plant looks like some type of sword? Have no idea what that 3rd plant is. +1 looks like cabomba.

You will be suprised at how much muck comes out when you do! We've just had a new kitchen in and i have had the law laid down to me so i have been banished to the outside tap.

Get some good chunky pieces of Java Fern in there, very effective and low tech!

A top tip about Hydrocotyle is that when it gets long, if you lift it out the water and grow it over the edge of the aquarium, it will flower. :good:

The last one could be brown due to being shaded. If it is an anubias, lighting shouldn't be too big of an issue but they are prone to brown/black flecks of algae. My cherry shrimp keep mine clean :p . if the leaves are going from green to brownish/wilted look, try pulling them up a bit so the bottom isn't so far in the sand. Anubias get their nutrients from their rhizome which is the "bulb" looking thing at its base.

Otherwise, the tank is looking good. :good: I can see a nice natural scape coming from this one.

Any Anubias will do better on wood too btw, when you put the roots in the substrate they rot.

4. looks like a crypt as the one at the front looks like a rosette. Do they have rosette style (all the leaves coming out from the middle like rose petals) stalk or a long rhizome? For the others you could probably do with the crown being above the sand, too.

Looks good though, must be a nice challenge to have the tank looking nice from both sides!

It had me scratching my head for a bit, there is no 'stage' to arrange things. I have also placed things to give a different look from each side.

I was thinking that butvthe thickness of the leaves makes me think Anubias
