Hey everyone!

Been a long time, since I've been taking part in more international fish forums ... and now that Felix (@f_luxus) is here, I just had to follow. :D

My name's Dominic, 37 years old, south-west Germany.
Been into fish tanks for well over 20 years now, and probably have too many of them ... or not enough, depends on who you ask.
Setting up an additional tank at the moment for raising Betty imbellis fry, from the pair I got from f_luxus ... which will of course, definitely and 100% be just a plain tank, since it's just there to raise the fry. *cough*

I'm specialized in plants, lights, and water chemistry/biologic, and whatever comes with it. Basically, each of my tanks is completely different from one another. Would be boring if they'd all be the same, wouldn't it?
Like Felix, I just love to prove myths wrong...and more than that, I love to help.

Hoping for some awesome discussions, new knowledge and a ton of pictures and inspirations. :)

-Dominic

Grüß dich Dominic,

Und wilkommen aufs Forum. Yes, there are more German members overhere. I'm in Holland. So, wir sind Nachbarn. Hope you'll enjoy our forum just like Felix does...

I'm very pleased to see German aquarists getting involved. You guys get in involved in fish! I know, stereotyping, but a lot of German aquarists I've known have really had fun with their aquariums.

But... some of us are trying to bust the myth of the low water change balanced aquarium, which came before the myth of the water change aquarium, which came before the myth of the dirted tank being perfect, which came before the river mud myth which came before the terrestrial plants with roots in solve everything myth, which came before the...

Hey,

Isn't that the whole fun about it? :D

The more myths, the merrier. Like my tank with 1000ppm Nitrates (no typo) because "Nitrates totally cause algae".
