Feel free to make any other suggestions on my stocking choices. Except For the bala's. I already know how big they get, their requirements.....etc.)

Thanks!

Cories should be kept in groups of 3 at the very least, you can get away with less in a smaller tank because they will be closer together but a 55 is pretty big.

I think you could do with upping your group considerably.

I had a group of three when they were in my 10 gallon, unfrotuantely the tank crashed BIG Time and I lost one of them to fin rot. THis made me move the other two and the two platy's to my 55 gallon.

How many more do you think I could have in their? without overstocking the tank of course!

i had 12 alltogether in one tank once.... they loved it.... they loved it even more when they were given to another home who had already got 6 in the tank :)

so yeah get some more, if your bioload can handle it

I have 11 and am planning to get more. I currently have three of three species and two of another (one of them died a few months ago) so yeah, get more. :)

I think you could have as many as 8 in there because they don't add too much bioload and clean for you. Just make sure than they have a little den and IMO you should be fine.

:)

I think i will get four more then. I more skunk and maybe this time they will have some pandas and I will get three of those guys. If not then maybe three spotted ones.

Right now I have a huge PVC pipe that they love sharing with my clown loaches.

Thanks everyone! I'll let you know how it goes!

Hi Nina7777 :)

You can never have enough corys!

One cory is a sad little thing,
Three corys are better,
Six corys are happy
More than that, it's a cory party!

:band: :drink: 8) :- :mama: :band:

My advice is do what I did, get 14 in there. There's lots of space. Cories do so much good for the tank that I don't really count them as a bioload.
