why would anyone buy that? you could make an actually functional replica for half that much.
"if the buyer restores it to its former glory..." it's not a piece of history if you replace every detail.
It could be like a Theseus' ship of a tank. If you replace one piece at a time is it still the same tank?

Similar to Johnny Cash’s car?
Triggers broom is our equivalent over here. Trigger was a road sweeper in a U.K. sitcom. He still had the same broom after 25yrs working for his local council……apart from its 17 new broom heads and 6 new shafts.
