Angels with gouramies.

I have a 46 gallon tank that is almost cycled. I'm planning to get a couple Pearl Gourmais, Dwarf Gouramis and Clown Loaches. I was wondering if Angelfish can go with these kinds of fish? I'm not sure if they're too aggressive for Gouramis and Clown Loaches. Is there any species of Angelfish that grow smaller than seven inches? Any advice?

Yes. You can put Gouramis and angelfish together. I have kept angelfish with Opaline, Blue, Gold, Paradise, Platinum, Pearl, and Dwarf Gouramis. They should be fine just dont put to many in that tank because both Gouramis and Angelfish are territorial. Also watch and see is the gouramis are getting beat up by the angels that happens sometimes beccause you have listed alot of the more peaceful gouramis.

I have a medium sized Marble Angel and a small male blue (3 spot) gourami together in a community tank and they get along fine, but I can only speak of my situation.

I'm only thinking about getting one angelfish. I just want to know if they can go together peacefully and not attack each other?

I really would advise against keeping Gouramis and Angelfish together. Some Gouramis are notorious fin nippers and if they build a bubble nest will try to defend around it. As far as they Angelfish are concerned, they own the tank and little upstarts like Gouramis will be chased mercilessly if they try to claim an Angels turf.

I have kept them together in the past but have alot less trouble with either since I have kept them seperate, in fact I now always keep fish from different continents seperate if at all possible.

Now I'm raelly confused. Some people say that Gourmais can go with Angelfish, and other say they cann't. I don't want any of the fish fighting, so what's my best option?

Here the fish I'm planning to get:
2 female Pearl Gouramis
1 female Dwarf Gouramis
3 Clown Loaches
maybe Harlequin Rasboras and large tetars if I cann't have Angelfish

I keep a collection of gouramis and 6 marbles they all get along fine
