I have recently gotten three little angelfish. The biggest two are about the size of a quarter, the third is a little smaller. they are in my 29g tank with some other cichlids. the problem i have is that during feeding time the cichlids with eat with quite a vigor, and the little guys sometimes get lost. The biggest and the smallest will push through sometimes and/or look for the flakes at the bottom instead of at the feeding frenzy at top, but the third is very shy to the whole thing. I'm afraid he won't get food and will die on me. should i seperate all three from the other until they get big enough? or will they be fine once they get used to being in my tank with them? thank you and i'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong area. what's sure where to put it....

There is a product at most LFS called garnules they sink slowly to the bottom but don't tend to stay at the top for very long in my friends aquarium this is what we use

I use the same thing, I find they give all 3 levels of the my 50 G a good feed as they float until they are saturated, then sink towards the bottom.

What other cichlids are they with? :dunno:

Angels are not that aggressive eaters compared to many other cichlids.

They're in with two assorted africian cichlids, and one yellow lab. There is two snails too. I don't know about yer angels... but my boyfriend's one is a pig. The fish will follow you whenever it sees humans and will try to eat just about anything that comes into the tank... I just assumed with his behavior that the little ones would be "aggressive" for eating too.
