Angel Hiding In Cave.

i got a black velvet angel at the weekend who had been beaten up pretty badly and wasn`t very healthy, he had a slight touch of ich and his fins are all tattered, his fins seem to be healing nicely (they were all clamped up when he first went in the tank but now he opens them alot more,

but he spends most of the time hiding in a cave and chasing away anything else that comes into the cave,

is this normal? or is it a sign of stress, or some other afliction?
