I have a 55 gallon tank with 4 black skirts 3 clown loaches 2 golden dojos 1 leaf fish 1 feather fin cat 1 gourami 1 African cichlid pretty mild mannered 1 sail fin pleco. It seem to be pretty full but I would like to add a angel fish to top it off, but I have had no luck with them in the past. My tank has been fine lately. No spikes or fish death in a while and I have good filtration. Should I try to add an angel or leave it be. Help please. :good:

I would be hesitant to add an angel to that mix. You have several fish that can reach 6"+, so I would just leave it the way it is.

i wouldn't get an angelfish if i were you. you'll have to upgrade your tank to a bigger one or get a separate tank for it.

No, don't. You'll be overstocking. I wouldn't do it if I were you. IF you want an angel, get a high 29 (US) gallon and you can get ONE angelfish. :)

--As for your combination right now, if the fish aren't full grown, when they DO get full grown your tank will be heavily overstocked. You might want to rehome the the clown loaches and the featherfin. I advise you to do so, all those fish shouldn't be kept in a 55. A 150 is suitable. :)

Thank you for the advice. I originally had only one clown loach but a buddy of mine was moving and he wanted to two take care of his two. The fish stores around my house that would take them do not maintain thief tanks properly so I couldn't say no.
