my angel fish had eggs today and my mom came over and put the eggs in a trap,
i was wondering if they would be ok and hatch

As far as I'm aware you should leave them with the parents or at least have an airstone bubbling over them if they have been moved.
Contact Tolak he's the resident Angelfish breeder on here. There's not much he dont know on that subject.

actually i think u should have left them alone. Angel fish are a little unpredictable. Some are good parents others are not. Some will guard their eggs and swim with their young while some will eat them....its weird. do you have any other fish or inverts in your tank? if not then in the future i would leave the eggs w/ the parents and see what they do. If they are good parents then the fry should hatch and be fine. (make sure the temperature is stable and the air stone doesn't make tiny bubbles that will kill the fry) Oh....and if you plan to raise some, its better to put them in a tank w/ sponge filter rather than the intake...cause they will get sucked up.
