hey just thought id share current events with u that just amazed me of the outcome.

my anemone basically cooked itself the other week and when i moved the heater to the sump the anemone had been spewing with puss all night from all down the side that was on the heater!(cant imagine its reasons for walking 4ft across the tank to the other side by anyway, alhtough now its sitting up at the filter outake) and was looking like a gooner, 24hrs after though its completely back to normal! a lil paler in clolour but yeah! this lil bugger cooked itself then regenerated something fierce! definately got my vote for worlds toughest organism.

only creature i know to bbq itself and survive! looking better then ever after 24hrs tbh

Nice bit of luck there :good:. Nems sure are hardy WHEN chemistry, lighting and flow requirements are met. They can be chopped in half deftly with a scalpel and still live if the environment is good. Don't think they're invincible though ;)

oh deffinately not! ive had only one fatality and that was my first which was 1 of 2 carpet anemone's i added early on in the tank and it only died due to the clowns at the time pulverising it. they literally picked the skin off from the outside in the ate the insides when the mouth began opening. was hectic as

my nem has trippled in size in the month I have had it, stung all my lovely corals and i finially had enough. cut all the soft corals away from surrounding rocks and moved futher away, they are now fine and re growing. the nem hid for a whole week, now it is back out and full of life! :)

heater damage like that though, incredible! - makes me concider moving my heater into the new frag tank when its ready...
