what would you put the above size tanks to have:

angel fish in (FW)

and

a marine setup (reef setup)

As reasonable tanks?

i think my question is more:

would they be acceptable for the fish (angel fish) and would this be a reasonably easy setup to maintain, without going too big... wont be able to get the very huge tank for a while...

I am no expert with angels, but I think I read that a 12" high tank is not tall enough, especially when 1-2 inches is taken up by substrate.

Question 2 - Again, just from what I have heard, that sized marine tank should not be too complicated to set up - as far as marine environments go.

Do Not Go Nano!

Nano is MORE expensive a 48X15X15 will be an okay tank, but it will still cost you a good 1000 before you even get livestock into it.

the 3ft tank is 18" high, 12 inch deep. sorry should have clarified...

the saltwater setup price: alot im getting cheap:

tank: £20
3 filters : £10 each
heater: got two

stll searching for a cheap priced thingummy... protein skimmer

etc etc the parts are slowly coming together in a portfolio for me to get an overall price.
