i need help fast i ahve an amonia spike this morning (the lights just turned on 2 hours ago (11 am my time)) and i dunno what to do or what might be causing it. can some one help please and fast

whats changed??

have you introduced more fish?
cleaned the filter ajusted any settings???

nothing, i last added fish over a month ago. i did a water change, thats it. cleaned some of the crap out of the gravel like the old food and stuff. and i noticed that there is a lot of small particles floating in the water so i checked the amonia

would an emergency water change help? like just take 1/4 out?

Theres the reason for the spike...
How much water did you change? Do another 10-15% via the gravel vac & cut down on feeding.
You may need to do 10% daily changes for the next week, gravel vaccing each time.

k i can do the water change but i have no clue what the cause could be.

the reason i ahve the stuff in the gravel is that i use the sinking shrimp pelets for the corys
