I'm doing a fishless cycle.

These are my current readings...

Ammonia: 1
Nitrite: .5
Nitrate: 20

Ammonia has dropped from 5 to 1 over the last week and Nitrite is starting to rise.

Do I need to keep "feeding" the cycle with ammonia now that it's dropped?

If you are using the add and wait method, you add ammonia once each day that you find it at zero. When your ammonia drops the last 1 ppm, it will be time to add some back in. When it drops to zero again, you add again. Once it starts moving out ammonia pretty well, you choose a time each day to add the ammonia.

In a word, yes :good: Whats NitrAte reading out the tap? I'd expect more NitrIte at this point, but if it's going realy fast, you may be processing NitrIte also already. What test kits do you have (Make and the bace (liquid, tablet, strips))?

All the best
