American Flagfish tank size?

Hi, I'm new here so please forgive me if I mess anything up.

Anyways, my question is this. Does anyone know if I can keep a pair (male & female) or trio (male, 2 females) of American Flag fish in a species only, heavily planted 10 gallon? I've seen some sites say 10 and others say 20 so I don't know which to go by as I've heard they can be aggressive but I'm unsure if that means to their own kind or other fish species.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with these gorgeous little fish, thanks!

minimum size tank for a pair of American flag fish is 2 foot long.

I’m in the process of getting a 240L 4’ tank and I’m torn between Paradisefish and FloridaFlag Fish. I had a ParadiseFish in the late80s and loved the feller but am wondering if both could live together? They’ve both got reps to uphold after all.
