I want to have more live plants but I don't have the money to buy a two hundred dollar light setup. The only wattage I can find in 24" are 20 watt bulbs. For my tank that is extremely low. I have a long leaf plant in there now that seems to be growing fine. I just got a couple Java ferns because I know that they will grow under low light. How much light does Amazon sword need?

They should be able to survive with your lighting. The other question is, what type of substrtae do you have? Amazons typically loves rich substrate(soil, fine grained gravel with additives, flourite etc.)
