She has hundreds if not thousands of them, will they survive in fresh water as I can't handle all these shrimps, I was also looking in the tank and see something which was black and very small crawling up the glass, it wasen't a fish could this be a shrimp? it was really small and quick at moving

UPDATE, looks like she is flicking them around the tank with her back legs.

amano shrimp need brackish water to be able to reproduce. mine sometimes have eggs but nothing comes of it so i doubt you will see 100's of shrimp soon :good:

Nothing will come of it because although they are freshwater shrimp they go to salty water to lay there eggs which need the salt to hatch.
