wouldnt the wrass eat my coral and is there a specific wrasse in mind not good with latin names if not is there another fish

i would love a trigger but i dont think there compatible

Triggerfish are one of the few fish that will attack lionfish, thay nip at the spines and ultimately kill them, I wouldn't put them together.
Well I suppose my years of reef-safeness "indoctrination" has done little to faze this forum. ;)

Thalassoma do not eat corals. They simply do not form part of the fish's diet. These wrasses prey on crustaceans primarily, plus echinoderms and various molluscs, as well as small fish.

Not all triggerfish are super-aggressive; in fact, most aren't and several are totally reef safe. These would include the Melichthys, Odonus and Xanthichthys genera. There is the odd bad apple but you can generally trust these fish with anything.
