The size of my tank = length 60cm, width 30cm and height 30cm.....I currently have three Pristella tetra, three blindcave fish, two beunos aries tetra (bigger than usual about 4cm min in length)...and four Corydoras Catfish...(one little one about 1.5 cm)....have I got too many fish in my tank?? I have a few plants and an aquarium ornament....? :S

Hi ya,

I guess and hope this isn't a new set up? The maximum holding for fish in a tank this size is about 23 cm length of fish no more,

Could you give us more info on filters being used and other hardware within the tank?

cheers

Hi Weatherman,

Thanks for the quick reply. :D

No this is not a new set up....I kind of inherited the tank a few weeks ago when moving into a new flat...the owner left behind his tank which included fish.....the Cory's I have sinced added, I just love them was this a bad idea??
The filter being used is a internal filter I think with an aeration device (I believe it is called) - just to ensure I am right.....it sits in the water, in the tank and it has a grey like sponge thing in the middle of it and a small whole on top that needs to be out of the water in order for it to work....this is an internal one correct? I have a glass thermostat that keeps the water at about 76/77......and I recently added another airstone in the opposite corner to give them more oxygen - this works on a separate small pump type thing. Other than that no other hardware.
