Hi,

At a glance the smaller tank is definately overstocked just with 3 angels.

The general guide is to have an inch of adult size fish per gallon of water. Add up all your fish at full size and you will see. This guide doen't apply to fish over 3 inches eg a 12 inch oscar in a 12 gallon is not going to work. Cichlids eg angels should have 10 gallons per fish as they are territorial.

I presume you are in a hot climate since your cold water tank contains tropical fish and they aren't dead.

My cold water tank is at about 78F without a heater, i do live in a ground floor of a block of flats so we have all the pipes under us and it is hot in our living room without the heating on
:*)

My fish seam happy enough where they are, but in my tropical tank it does seem a bit over stcked. i might have to give some away.
