My LFS had 6 of these in when i last visted, so i bought one home, shes about 4" deep at the max at the moment(planned tank upgrade, dont worry  ).
Bit of an impulse buy, but she's stunning, and is so elegant around the tank
I've read about the so called "viatnemses" Altums, which are false.
Are there anyways to determine if she's a true Altum besides pics?

post a pic up...

they do get really big!, Amano has used Altums in a few of his massive tanks, i have read them getting 1.5 ft from head to dorsal fin. They often get mixed up with P. scalare.

I did a similar thread about a week ago have a look for that one theres some info on there that will help you

#28###,looks like its a cross, it has red in the dorsal fin, but red eyes, doesn't look like a Zebra Angel though.
Not fussed to be honest, its a stunning fish, but i'm not going to pay another £6.50 for another one

an Altum would generally cost a LOT more than £6.50

If it turns out to be a real Altum then you got yourself a real bargain, in most places they are £20
