So, I am setting up a 20 gallon tank for a figure 8 puffer, and I know they need increasingly brackish water as they get older.

The puffer will be an adoptee from Petco, someone surrendered about a half dozen to the store. Right now they are all together in about a 10 gallon tank (showing surprisingly little aggression). They are all between 3 and 3.5 inches, so almost full grown.
What water parameters should they be kept in at this stage? I will be getting their current salinity level tomorrow, and matching my tank to that. But what should I be working towards in keeping my puffer healthy?

I'm sorry that you never got an answer, how did it turn out? My understanding is they are just fine on the lower end of salinity, like 1.005-1.008.
