i have a 25 ltr with java moss on bog wood and floating amazon frogbit. tank houses 7 celestial danioes a shrimp and 3 ottoes. it has a 5 ltr sump filter and an 11watt cfl for light 12 hrs a day. problem is algae growing on moss. how do i get rid of it. less light? wont my other plants suffer. what do i do?

Do you know what type of algae you're dealing with. I'd reduce the lights from 12 hours to 9 max. There are several reasons factors leading to any outbreak of algae but if you ID the algae, perhaps post a pic, It'll be easier for us to help you resolve.

12 hours of light a day is generally too much. Java moss is a lower light plant so not a huge surprise there's an algae problem there. I'd cut the light to just a few hours a day until it clears up.

its blue green algae so i will do a water change remove manually what i can add an extra pump for added water flow and move the ottocinclus. google is great
