So this isn't so much a water problem as a "my filter needs to be replaced tonight"

Basically I've been scrubbing the last couple days while I find a store with a biolife filter. But I've noticed a light green filmy layer that won't come off.

Any suggestions as to how to remove it? My scrubber gets most of it, but it's like it got baked on lightly! -_-

Algae magnets work like a charm if you don't have curved glass!

most of my lfs sell algae magnets have you checked yours? my algae magnet does great for my tank glass.

For patches in the middle of the glass (i.e. not near any sealant etc) I use a razor blade. For the less adhesive algae, a toothbrush makes them easier to reach.
