cichlids are usually good at cleaning algae off rocks and decor. some are better than others.

i have placidochromis milomo in my mbuna tank. never have a problem with algae except maybe a little on the glass and i just scrape that off

just about any pleco will do in the cichlid tank 8)

IMO the bristlenose pleco is a good one to put with chichlids. They stay smaller than most (about 12 cm). Though they are not very attractive they are good workers and chichlids leave them alone. They are fine with the higher pH that the chichlids require, but do like to have some wood in the tank to suck on. :)

i dont get it... whats so funny fabriziodae?

The only kind of pleco that gets sold around my area is a regular everyday plec. But i saw a weird plec in a baracuda tank.

you do realize that that "regular" pleco can get up to 2'? also plecos require wood in the tank to rasp on. if you do decide to go with a plec i would go with one of the smaller species
