Woke up this morning to find my albino bristlenose lying upside down with one of my snails on top of it.

Moved the snail and the poor fish is missing its tail fins. It was still alive, but unable to move much so I had to put it out of its misery

Current mates:

1 orange bristlenose
4 apple snails
1 newt
2 indian glassfish
1 thin stiped loach
6 khuli
1 black khuli
1 weather loach
6 male guppies
1 horseface loach
neons, glowlight & rummy nosed tetras
1 SAE
about a dozen small shrimps

Sorry to hear about fishie.

I moved the topic over here because i think it will get the proper attention here.

None of it's tank mates should be big enough nor aggressive enough to kill it. It is poss. the fish was ill and not weak enough to escape the snail. Most snails are opertunistics and scavenger along till they fu=ind and easy meal. Alot of time the fist to find the corps is the snail(s).

Was the pleco getting enough food ? Greens ?

Awwww, sorry about your bristlenose, I got a baby one this afternoon, hope it's a boy!

plenty greens as well as algae wafers every day, and they were always eaten, if not by the Bristlenoses then by the snails
