Hi guys, quick question, I bought a way larger wider taller sponge for my air filter, but I have no idea how to put it in the tank. The air filter has a tube and there is a sucking thing, but it is like 1 cm away from the tube. However the sponge is 10cm wide, there is a hole in the middle of it for the tube, so I have no way how to secure it to the glass. I tried getting some longer suction things but to no avail, it catches only the edge and the sponge just floats away.
Any homemade tips?
Thanks

Finally made the time

It looks like there are a couple of green pieces missing. Normally there is a green tube with holes or slots and that goes inside the blue sponge. It joins the other green pipe at the elbow, and the suction cups stick to the glass.

Then there should be another tube over the piece with the suction cups and this has the airline attached to it.

If you can't get it to work with what you have, get some pvc pipe that fits in the hole. Then drill or cut a heap of little holes in the pvc pipe so water can be drawn through it.

You can buy pvc elbows and make a pvc uplift tube. Then drill a small hole in the base of the uplift tube and stuff the airline in it. Or use a bigger diameter pvc pipe uplift tube and drop the airline down it.

You can weight the sponge down with a smooth flat rock or use rubber bands to hold the sponge onto some rocks in the tank.
