I've recently bought a tank, it has a divider installed but it can't be removed.
Its got small holes at the top and bottom so the water can flow thru but unfortunately when I've housed the betta fish they can see each other thru the slits.
I'm worries the will begin to get stressed so I've tried placing some plants in the slits but they still seem to be agressive in the little bit of hole there is for water flow.
Any ideas ??

Just their hormones in the water will signal another betta. I had to move my males into separate tanks.

If you can't move the divider and if you want to you could cut a whole in it

Oh no, I really want to house the betta fish in the same tank I had no idea the could sense each other in the water

I didn’t either when I made my divider. My males kept getting fin rot and another member on here pointed it out to me and said they may be getting stressed by the hormones in the water. I kept mine in the divided tank for over a year though.
