Aglie Control Medication?

I have some fine hair algie growing on my plants in my 30 gallon tank. It is housed with 1 humback puffer and 1 bristle nose pleco. I found this stuff on the internet and wanted to know if anyone had used?

I would like to stay away from medications for this, but the humback will not allow me to add those chines's algie eaters in there because he will eat them. Is there any other fish that will clean the fine hair algie off of my plants?

you say you have "some" hair algae growing... how much is some.. keep in mind algae is normal in a tank and can actually to some extent be beneficial to the tank. unless its out of control growth i wouldn't worry about it too much, just clean it off with a scraper and call it a day.
