Have a female guppy that has started "picking" on other fish in the tank - especially hitting my red flame dwarf gourami. I have sat and watch her chase the MUCH larger fish all over the tank. It almost comes across as she is eating his slime coat when she corners him. After a couple of hours of this, the larger fish now has a slight whitish tent to his scales - and appears to have actually lost a few scales. This gourami looked and acted very healthy earlier today.

So I'm puzzled. This isn't the first time I have seen a female guppy act somewhat aggressive - a few weeks ago, another female ripped over half of our male cobalt blue guppy's extra-long tail off. Thankfully, he seems to have survived the attack and still is "doing his job".
