My boyfriend and I have 5 clown loaches in a 4 foot tank. We bought them when they were about 3cm. One in particular has grown quite rapidly and is about 6cm now. The others are around 4cm.
I have noticed that the big one has been particularly aggressive towards the other loaches. Just then s/he was chasing another one around the tank and making loud clicking noises. The chasee looked as if s/he was getting stressed as its stripes went grey.

Why this sudden aggressiveness?
I have never thought clown loaches to be aggressive.
Should I be concerned or is it normal?

It's common for loaches to have some social disputes to sort out the pecking order. "Greying out" in which one or both of the loaches loose color temporarily is normal during the squabbles. Injuries are rare.

As long as they're eating and no major injuries, you'll be fine.
