Hi everyone,
Just a bit of advice needed please.
I have two cherry barbs from my original tank which I set up 5 years ago.. they are now in a 55ltr and one has suddenly developed dropsy. No other signs of illness.
My question is (please forgive my ignorance) ... the cherry barb is now on the old side and its probably a stupid question but 'how do aging fish die?'' Do they generally 'just die' or will they become weak and get things like dropsy?
How do you think I should treat this barb? He is still eating, no poo seen today but I've only been home a few hrs. Swimming fine, so much so I can't catch him to isolate!
He's in with 5 silver tips, 9 glowlights and a bristlenose plec.
Water parameters all fine
50% water change just done.
Thanks guys
