Hi I currently have a 91 litres (20 UK gallons) tank it has a filter built into the hood. A Tetratec 600 plus internal filter backs this up.
I have now brought a Juwel Rio 180 tank 180 (40 UK gallons give or take a bit), it has it’s own filter built in & I will back this up with a Tetratec 1000.
My intention is to take the two old filters from my established tank rinse them in water from the same tank along with the filter media from my new tank, then use the two old filters to place on the substrate. Also I will take one cartridge from my old Tetratec 600 & place it in the Tetratec 1000 for the new tank.
Hopefully if my understanding of all the cloning posts I’ve read is right this should be enough to clone my tank. Am I right?
Starting with five Zebra Danios then following with three Clown Loaches, two Sailfin Plecs (temp home till I get a bigger set up) A Red Tailed Black Shark & possibly my two Bronze Corydaoras then purchase two Albinos to join them.
How soon should I start adding the fish? Then on what sort o time scale should I add the others after that? When moving the fish should I do as you do when you first bring fish home form the lfs, i.e. leaving in a bag to acclimatize for half an hour?
