I have a 55 US Gal tank with the following:

1 Red Fin Shark
2 Silver Dollars
1 Male Swordtale
6 Platty's (1 male 5 female)

My tank has cycled and I am ready to add some additional fish. I was wondering if this (total including current fish) would work?

1 red fin Shark
5 silver dollars (provide a good school)
5 sword tales (1 male 4 female) provide the current male some company
6 Plattys

Is this to many fish for my tank? I have been told one inch per gal. I think this adds up to a little more than that but not to much. Any advice would be appreciated.

The silver dollors can become big.. errm I dunno.. maybe by the time they grow you will upgrade and get the fishy itch like me and my gold gouramis

How is the swodtail doing with the platys now? If the swordtail is schooling with the platys, I wouldn't get more. The silver dollars would take up the majority of the space. Also, I'm not sure about the red-tailed shark. If it was me, I'd remove the shark because of your platys.
