As the title says, it would be helpful for people that have bred them in the past to give hints and tips that might encourage them to breed? I have a cave as I read they breed in this. The water temperature is about 25/26'C and I have 1M and 1F that I have had for about 2 or 3 months. Any advice appreciated, thanks!

while i never successfully bread mine, (i wasn`t that bothered about breeding) i have had them spawn usually after a large water change. i think the drop in temperature may trigger it,

i would invest in another female,my apistos breed in my community tank,no special requirements

I would get a couple of females for the male to pick from.Plenty of good 'meaty' foods to get them in shape, then as BIGIAN said a fairly large water change and make sure that the water you replace with is a lot cooler than your tank temp. This drop in temperature mimicks the change in the seasons stimulating them to breed.
