Adding More Pearl Gouramis To My Tank?

My male Pearl has been the only gourami in the tank for almost a year. He shares the space with some celebes rainbows, harlequin rasboras, and a pair of kribs. I'd like to get him a couple of females, but I'm not sure if he'd be aggressive toward them. He just likes everyone in the tank to know that he's boss, but he never nips or chases around the tank. Anyway, the females would be smaller (younger) and I'd like to know whether you think he'd be happy with them, or bully them.

We need to know your tank size first. If you want to keep a trio (recommended) you will need at least 30 gallons (10 gallons/gourami).
