A scoop from my mutt tank

Overhere some vids of a number of mutt guppies which I´ve scooped out of my mutt tank. I´ve put them in a smaller tank for better filming.

Even mutts can be nice looking guppies...

Yes, I agree there are some nice ones. My guppy/shrimp tank has another brood of guppies today. This must make 5 broods since I set up the tank in mid October. There are at least 40 fry of various sizes swimming around

Most of my guppies are plain so far only had two with nice tails. My little granddaughter still likes to watch them

Well, I´ve got a bigger mutt tank. Where these came from as well. If someone´s interested or a store is asking for a mix, then I´ll scoop a number of those guppies out.

It is indeed. If I had harder water I'd love to have some of your mutts

Made a selection of juvenile female guppies. The selection itself happens with a small spoon. And they've moved to another grow out tank. And I do scoop with my bare hand. As long as the hand is wet, you won't harm the slime coat of the fish. Personally, I do prefer this method instead of a net when they're in a small container.
