As with more ovoviviparous livebeares, late males do occur...
Overhere a late blue guppy male... He's large and recently he developed his gonopodium. The blue is also more faded which is quite common with late guppy males.
if you look at the gonopodium, you're able to see that it's not quite developed yet. Even at the tip it's smooth and no hooks which a fullygrown male usually has. If the tip will stay this way, it will be questionable wether this male will be able to mate because of the shape of the gonopodium. But he's not done yet. For if you take a good look, the upper part of the anal fin (towards the bodyside) still looks like a normal anal fin.

So, he got his color first and his caudal has also grown but the gonopodium is present since 4 days. But he's got a ferm bodyshape which is good.
 
I love the “tiger stripe” near the end of his body. :wub:
