I was looking at my tank last night and I noticed a bunch of these “bugs” that look like some sort of isopod or something. Does anyone know if these are harmful or what these are in my tank? If they are harmful to my tank how do I get rid of them? Thanks!

They are Gammarus (Gammaridae family).

They are harmless and occur in fresh, brackish and salt water environments. They are an ancient scavenger that eats anything organic, dead fish, dead plants (sometimes live plants if they are starving), fish food, whatever is there.

They won't harm your fish and most fish will try to eat the Gammarus.

Gammarus will eat fish eggs if they find them but apart from that, they are a neat addition to an aquarium and I had them in all my marine tanks.
