well i followed the instructions on a bottle called "cycle" by hagen and it says that if i follw the instructions, i should be able to have the tank cycled withing 2 weeks, my question is, if i move all the ornaments from one of my tank (including gravel), will it help to cycle, like, in ONE week?

i can remove everything because i have frys in a breeding box, so if i move all the fish and stuff, the tank can also be for the baby fish to grow out

There is never a guarantee on how long the cycle will take as it is different with every tank. Seeding your tank by adding filter floss, sponge or gravel from an established tank usually will speed the cycle up. However, your tank needs something in it that creates amonia in order for the nitrogen cycle to take place. I do not believe that the product Cycle has amonia in it. The two ways to cycle a tank are with a few hardy fish or by doing a fishless cycle by adding actual amonia.

Here are two links explaining the fishless cycle. Fishless Cycling Part 1Fishless Cycling Part 2.

Another option is to run your new filter in the established tank for a week or so, that will build up the bacteria in the new filter. As I have never cycled this way, I only have limited information, others may be able to offer you more assistance.

Good luck!
