I found a cheap 55 gallon tank at the LFS and i wanted to put some weather loaches in there. Probably 3 or 4. but im wondering what else can go in? I would like to put some black moors in, but im not sure how they would do with the loaches. any advice?

Weather/Dojo Loaches grow to 9-10" and a shoal of 3-4 would pretty much max out a 55G. If you wanted more activity, you could go with some Zebra Danio's or WCMM's for smaller schooling fish in the mid to upper level of the tank. Adding a goldfish to the four loaches would overstock the tank.

k, well what if i did 2 or 3 loaches, and over filtered the tank? and would fancy gold fish be ok with weather loaches?

Im going to disagree with GL on this. You can have the 3 loaches and any fantailed fish you choose. If it was my tank and filtration was good then 3 loaches and 3 fantails would be ok imo.

We all have different views on stocking tanks, but if youre prepared to do regular maintenance then i personally dont see a problem.
