I currently have a 55 gallon cold water setup, I have 14 Roesy Red Minnows and 3 Weather Loaches. I was hoping to add some more fish and was also wondering what a good centerpiece fish would be for such a setup. Any suggestions?

How about a shoal of longfin Danios, and a trio of Paradise fish or pair of American Flagfish

I like the danios idea, I have kept them in my 75 gallon in the past. I was thinking of WCMM, but the danios are always cheaper here and they are a bit bigger too. I'll see if I can get the Flag fish ordered in. I was wondering if a pair of Black Moores, I know goldfish are hard on the filteration system, but just a thought.

Sounds pretty well stocked already to me.

What sizes are all the fish at the mo?
What are your water stats before you do your regular water change and how often are you doing changes?

Not sure if goldies would be a good idea considering current stocking... fancy goldfish need about 10 usg each and they can't swim for ...poop... so they will find it difficult to get to the food before the minnows do. I second the motion for paradise fish.

Hmmm the loaches are around 5-6", and most of the minnows are around 3-4". Yeah I think you are right about the Fancy goldies, the minnows are pretty good at getting to all the food before it hits the bottom. I'll see about danios and paradise fish. I'm not sure of the water stats before I do a water change, I do a 50% water change weekly.
