Have just done a 4 week fishless cycle in a 46lt fluval edge. This is my first tank. My local fish store have tested the water which seems good. They suggest introducing 2 fish for a week then slowly building up stock and then adding plants. I do like the look of Black phantom Tetras and the difference between male and female!! Any ideas for suitable colourful fish please. TIA guys.

Just wanting to check..how did you cycle the tank? Did you add ammonia, and follow the instructions on the Cycling article at the top of the page?
You'll know you're cycled when you can process 3ppm of ammonia in 24 hours.
I -think- your tank may be a bit too small for those fish, but someone else hopefully will have a better idea of that.
Celestial pearl danios are colorful and small, as well as mosquito rasboras.
What's your pH? Is your water hard or soft?
