Hey guys! So this past two and half months (almost three months, I think) has been huge for my aquarium and because of everyone's contributions to my successful ecosystem I wanted to share an update with you guys!

Stocking:
I now have six fish in my tank as well as about a dozen or so snails!

Stock is as follows:
- 3 female mollies (Big Mamma, Vanessa, and Enola)
- 1 female platy (Juliet)
- 1 African Butterfly Fish (Da Vinci)
- 1 Blue Phantom Pleco (Ludwig)
- 1 male inca snail (Loki)
- 1 female Japanese Trapdoor Snail (Mrs. Miagi)
- 1 Volcano snail (Anakin)
- 1 female Nerite Snail (Jess)
- 1 male Zebra Nerite Snail (Melon)
- About 8 Nerite Snail infants
- 5 Japanese Trapdoor/Inca snail mix

Important Facts:
- pH is a happy medium of 7.4
- I monitor behaviors of my fish consistently
*There WILL be an upgrade in the next year to a 60g long for Ludwig to thrive in! I am aware he gets large.*

Parameters:

pH: 7.4
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrites: 0ppm
Nitrates: 5ppm
Temp: 79F
*Tested 4 days ago*

Plants:
Do not ask me their names, I do not know!

Plants are as follows:
- An assortment of 6 different floating plants
Covers around half of my surface!
- An assortment of 6 different species of planted plants, 6 each.
Covers almost the entire substrate, around 39 plants!

Not really a plant but is important:
- Blackwood driftwood
- Driftwood
*Two large pieces of driftwood for Ludwig and friends*

Substrate:
- Fluval Planted Aquarium Substrate, around 16 pounds of it.
*Was the worst to work with but has created strong root systems!*

I think that's all. I am so grateful for everyone's help on here. You guys have saved my community tank's life more than once. Have an amazing day!

african butterfly are weird fish!
now i want one

do you ever have to worry about snail shell rot?

Where are the pics at?

I bunched up a lot of the plants so they would grow as one instead of having several small plants. They should grow up to 2 feet in length in the next several months!

Don't mind the pieces of algae hanging out at the bottom from last night's dinner ;)

Yes, Da Vinci is definitely a character!
You should get one! They are the perfect adult size and watching them eat is so fun!

No, I haven't had to worry about it! My snails have been 100% healthy.

How can you tell the gender of your nerites?
I only know their gender because of watching them breed and give birth. My zebra nerite is the father of the astronomical amounts of babies I have now. Its weird because they didn't do this when I had them in the nursery tank upstairs but now they are having children like crazy!

Looks good, nice job....I'd add a black background, it will make the fish more comfortable, and they and the deco will stand out more

Is part of the floating plants duckweed?

Keep that duckweed under control, it goes mental with good lighting lol

Tank looks awesome!! Where did you get your duckweed? I can't seem to find any locally!

We had one back there but it got SOAKED with water because there was a leak in the air pump so we have to get a new one!

Yes, duckweed is a part of my floaters.
