Update on the 29g tank:

First off, the filter is amazing. Water is clear all the time and I can see stuff in much better detail than before.

Here is how I have the filter media arranged: (from bottom to top)
  1. Seachem Sponge (came with the filter)
  2. Floss
  3. Floss with carbon
  4. Seachem rock media (also came with the filter)
The floss were actually Tetra filter cartridges without the frame. The one on top of the first floss has carbon in it.

The “service” plunger has only come up once and I’m glad it did. It was a little clogged up, so I cleaned it out, and now all is good!

Pleco has absolutely destroyed this little piece of wood:

That dang Cory is still in there. Hoping to get a bigger net soon, so I can catch it.

Pleco has also kindly rearranged the sand in that corner.

Still saving up for that Nicrew light in my “fish” category (budget) Will make a huge difference once I get it.

Going to do some trimming, sand vacuum, and glass clean today.

Well, my 29g tank is going to be taken down and converted to saltwater, for those of you that didn’t know.

All the stock will be moved over to my 20g long, which currently has 7 false Julii’s in it.
