I plan to get some hermit crabs, once the pay check comes in.

Assuming it comes in this week, I should be able to get the following:
  • 2x Scarlet Skunk Shrimp
  • 2x Hermit Crabs (either blue-legged or strawberry)
  • 4x Snail of some sort (I’m looking into a few different ones)

Definitely in the “ugly stage” right now:

I’m manually removing it now, and will have to keep doing that until it dies down. Hopefully the hermits will help a little...

You can see exactly where you turbo snail has been ?

I might only be able to get one this week, which is unfortunate. :/

I will be able to get 2x hermit crabs and 1x SSS this week. I’m so excited!

(In all reality, it may be next week. ?)

just take the one out of the tank and use it in the bucket of water, then put it back in the tank

But then I have to keep taking it out and then putting it back in.

I may just get another cheaply.

I was finally able to get some work done on it yesterday. There’s a lot less algae!

(The tank is filled up now - that was a picture from yesterday)

If my mom can get my payed this week, I may be able to get the scarlet skunk and more snails. (My work sends me a pay stub, but the money goes into her account, so she has to pay me in cash.?)

Algae will be less of an issue when you get corals in there because they will use the light. In the mean time, try to find some Caulerpa (either bubble or feather Caulerpa) and grow that in the tank. They use nutrients and light and reduce the algae.
