So I've decided I want to try a sorority tank. I currently have in my tank 1 rather large female (2+ in) and 5 zebra danios. I was thinking about 6(?) corys, and maybe eiter some more zebras or a group of some other schooling fish, and then how ever many females would be comfortable in the tank (not sure how many).
But then I was reading another post & it said the zebras aren't good tank mates for the bettas that they like colder water than the bettas, but I've had mine with bettas for the last 9 months and they've been ok.
My other questions is how would I go about introducing the new females that are barely even an inch into a tank with another betta that's already twice their size? I was thinking I could move her into my guppy tank, seperated from the guppies, put my new females into the larger tank, let them grow a bit, then reintroduce the original female.
My tank's not fully set up yet, it's cycled & that just not fully decorated yet, so it'll be a couple weeks before I start adding any fishes. I would also be waiting a couple weeks (4-6 wks) between adding groups of fishes to give the tank time to settle.
