Thinking of setting up another tank but dont really want to shell out for another Co2 system if i can help it! Is it possible to run more than one tank off of one bottle? can i just use t piece and airline clamps?

Can't see why not. It may be a bit harder to set up initially and there may be slight instability in the delivery (say if the level of water in one tank were to drop due to evaporation etc.) but it should be possible.

You need something like this not sure how it works though, he has others that have bubble counters too.

Says on the advert that it'll work on JBL so presume it does!

says in the advert it will connect to 'JBJ ' ? does a jbJ have same fittings as a jbL? Confused!!!

ive been looking HERE and looking at my JBL set and i cant see much difference in JBJ and JBL just need to be sure all the couplings/fitting/threads are the same sizes! If these splitters can be added to the JBL system easily enough would be so cool! makes doing another tank sooo much cheaper!

Ive emailed the ebayer to ask if they know if it will fit will keep you posted!

Not sure about the JBJ regulator, but I would imagine it has 'standard' connections.
It might be worth emailing AquaMagic as asking. I've ordered from them and they were very good at responding to questions .... I also had no problems with postage from Singapore.

If you end up using a splitter, how far apart will the tanks be. You'd need CO2 proof tubing as there would be a loss of CO2 depending on the distance. Also if far apart there would be a higher risk of the tubing getting snagged/squashed in some way. Not sure what size tank you have, but if feeding 2 tanks a bigger tank would obviously be the better option. (JBL regs will fit 2kg fire extinguishers).

CO2 tank sharing is something I'm going to be looking at after setting up my 240Ltr tank as I'm also planning a small 'shrimp only' cube next to it.

(Edit: Looks like you found that JBJ reg at the same time I did :D )

thats what i call a fast response lol :D ( 1 minute ) thanks Mr G!
Im planning on using a bigger bottle and hopefully the 2 tanks will be next to each other at the same height. I dont think it will be a problem. Thats the jbj system i was looking at on the link i provided above!

Co2 tubing!!

For your future reference i just got a reply from Aquamagic and the splitters WILL fit my JBL system!! :)

Cool! Cheers for letting us know :) just need to set up two tanks next to each other now, I guees we dont really need a sofa in the sitting room... :shifty:

wouldnt the co2 tubing AFTER the splitter need to be the same length in order to recieve the same amount of injection? unless the tanks are different sizes, you may have to offset the lengths, longer for smaller tank, and shorter for larger tank...no?

I doubt it. Although I've never used a splitter, they have needle control valves on each individual feed, I believe you adjust the amount of CO2 using those.

Thanks for the info Planter !
