I haven't added anything but regrettably some duckweed to my tank in months and removed my Gold Mystery Snails even more months ago. One shell just appeared then days later another. Anyone else have this odd phenomenon and any idea how or why?

Maybe they resurrected from the coral 😲
What coral?
After a second look just now, I'm not sure if they are alive or not....or what type they are....try nudging them with a bent wire coat hanger, and see if they move after a while...make sure the operculum is facing downward on the substrate...

Mystery snail reproduction is easy to control, they lay a mass of eggs OUTSIDE of the water, usually on the underside of a tank lid, and are easy to remove and dispose of...pest snails lay eggs everywhere there's water, period, much harder to eradicate

Mystery snail juvies, from an egg clutch you didn't find/remove, is my guess...again, if they're moving

Are they stationary, or moving?
